Here's the typical Simplewebdeluxe method.

Step 1 - Understand Your Requirements

After you make contact, we take time to understand your exact requirements. This means getting an understanding of your business and objectives, and what you would like your website to achieve. We'll also ask you which other websites you like, as this gives us an idea of the design and site structure you might like.

Step 2 - Graphic Design

We get to work and produce a design using graphical tools such as Adobe Photoshop, incorporating any logos and corporate colours you supply. As designs are produced digitally, this makes it easy to collaborate with you and quickly share designs via the web or email.

Step 3 - Technical Build

When the design is approved it's time for us to get technical. We typically develop a homepage and subpage templates in CSS/HTML and then incorporate these into the content management system (CMS). The CMS we use is called Umbraco and requires the .NET 3.5 framework on a Windows 2008 web server. We use database software called MySQL as the data store which holds of all your content. We prefer to get a sample of your content so we can pre-populate part of the website and make sure everything fits together.

Step 4 - Hosting

The domain name and hosting are configured, so you can see your website online. We host your website so you needn't worry about anything. When the site is available online, we get a chance to work together and tweak the site structure and add more content.

Step 5 - Training

The website will now be nearing launch. You may wish to have some formal training so you can learn how to update the website. However the online tools are so easy, many clients get by without training.

Step 6 - Your Website. Live!

The site is now live! We are always available to offer you phone and email support should you need help updating your website. You can now enjoy the benefits a slick, professional website brings to your business.
