All Simplewebdeluxe websites are updated using one of the best content management systems on the market - Umbraco, known as "the Friendly CMS".

We've chosen to standardise on Umbraco because it offers enterprise-level features and yet it is open source. The interface is designed to follow conventions from existing desktop applications making it quick to learn. Users can collaborate and create without wasting time or being distracted by things unrelated to creating and maintaining content.

The focus is your content.

Your site's pages are displayed in a familiar tree view. To create new content pages you can right-click the parent page or simply click the big Create button that's always visible. To edit a page's content simply select that page in the tree view. When you're done, click Save (to save a draft) or Publish (to make the changes visible for website visitors).

Beneath this simple interface lies a powerful CMS with advanced role-based security, Microsoft Word style WYSIWYG editor, digital asset management, a flexible notification system, plus many more features that usually garner an "enterprise" label on the box.

Mistakes happen.

Maybe a typo has been introduced, or something was incorrectly named or entire paragraphs deleted.

Luckily, Umbraco stores every version of your content including all the changes that have been made. If something is not right, you can always go back in time to a previous version. Umbraco's roll back capability let's you quickly find the version you want, highlighting all the differences with the current page using an effective visual difference display.

When you've found the right version, just click save and your site is instantly restored to the proper version.

With Umbraco you can schedule pages to be published (or unpublished) at any time. Need that press release to be live on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm while you're in a meeting? No problem. Need to end a marketing campaign while lounging on the beach? Easy!

Umbraco has a light-weight web-based user interface that is very responsive.

Umbraco supports all modern browers such as Internet Explorer 7, Firefox and Safari.
You can access your CMS from any computer, anywhere in the world, whether it runs Mac OS X, Linux or Windows.

Workflow that doesn't hurt

Stay on top of everything that happens to your content. Define a chain of people to create, approve and publish your website content. Using the built-in notification system, you can receive an email whenever something happens.
